As children grow and develop, their car seat needs to continue providing a safe and secure fit throughout every stage of development.
Families often begin with an infant car seat, transition to a convertible car seat, and later move to a booster. While each stage serves an important purpose, it can often mean learning new installation systems, purchasing additional accessories and replacing products that still have life left in them.

Compatible with both the protect™ infant car seat and safe rotate™ convertible car seat, it creates one connected system that grows with your family.

The beauty of unity™ lies in how it supports families through key developmental milestones.
Stage 1: protect™ infant car seat with Extended Rear Facing
Begin your journey with protect™, an infant car seat designed for convenience and supports Extended Rear Facing, from birth through to 87cm (approximately 20 months).
Paired with unity™ base, protect™ rotates toward you for easier loading and unloading in the car, and onto your Mountain Buggy® to create a travel system. A simple transition to move between car, buggy and home.
Stage 2: safe rotate™ Extended Rear Facing
As your child grows beyond the infant stage, the journey doesn't need to start over.
Simply transition to safe rotate™ while continuing to use the same unity™ base, automatically saving you money by reusing!
Supporting Extended Rear Facing up to 105cm (approximately four years), safe rotate™ can continue your child's rear facing journey from protect™, ensuring the safest position in the car for longer.
The installation system remains familiar – simply click in and rotate.
Alternatively, safe rotate™ can be used from birth, providing a long-term solution from your baby's very first journey home.
Stage 3: safe rotate™ forward facing and booster years
When the time comes, simply swivel safe rotate™ to forward face, transitioning later on as a booster seat, supporting your child right through to 150cm (approximately 10 years).
The result is a complete car seat journey built around one trusted foundation from the very beginning.
